Days After The Storm sprang to life in 2008 after a chance meeting in an Amsterdam park between Italian vocalist Frank Valchiria and Portuguese guitar/bass-player Vasco Asturiano. They soon realised that the connection they shared when jamming was something that they couldn't let go of - Valchiria's unique and powerful voice and exquisite lyrics blending perfectly with the deep, creative tones of Asturiano's guitars.
The line up was completed when Dutch guitarists Frank Wolff and Pytrik Rot and drummer Ron Komduur joined the circle, adding a fresh and exciting undercurrent to the music.
With three different nationalities in the band, and a multitude of influences from jazz to rock to folk, Days After The Storm grasps inspiration from as many sources as it can, crosses as many musical boundaries as possible and refuses to be labelled as 'just another band'.
The Way Home is the debut EP from the band, produced in 2010.
Recorded at Redline studios, Amsterdam, NL.
